While planning Revamping of Economic Policies-REP there are certain factors which must be given due weightage, Mental Health Issues can be the Flag bearer among those factors because Impact on economy due to Mental health Issues as per World Health Organization- WHO globally, an estimated 12 billion Working days are lost every year to depression and anxiety at a cost of US$ 1 Trillion in lost productivity, yet only 2% of Global Health Budget is dedicated to cure Mental Health Issues. The process of navigating this stigma is to do away with the boundaries of Possibilities, No Go areas, Negative believes and Perceptions. Being a firm believer of Manifestation I sincerely feel that using thoughts, beliefs, and action we can do away with mental Health issues using positive energy and promoting resilience and perseverance in the region.

Mental Health is a state of Emotional, Psychological, & Social well-being, these three factors are philosophically interrelated to each other A socially well-placed person is psychologically intact and emotionally strong. As Mental Health issues covers emotional behavioural & Psychological state of instability. The mental Health issues impact can be occasionally or continuous. We should not feel ashamed of Mental health issues as known personalities like Abraham Lincoln experiencing depression, Prime Minister of Norway, publicly acknowledged depression and took a leave of absence for treatment. Roughly 1 in 8 people worldwide live with a diagnosable mental disorder (1.012 billion) & loses 15% of their lives. COVID has further impacted the situation. There are three major categories mental health issues, which are Diseases, Emotional Disorder & Behavior Disorder. Disease like Depression and Anxiety fall under the category of Emotional Disorder and their Diagnosed and Undiagnosed ratio are 50:50 and their diagnoses are Medium, suggests a moderate condition that may need treatment but is not life-threatening. Disease like Eating Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder fall under the category of Behavior Disorder and their Diagnosed and Undiagnosed ratio are 20:80 and their diagnoses are Low, refers to a mild condition that may not require treatment or may only require lifestyle changes. Highest prevalence of Mental Health Issues that is 18% are in the age group now entering the productive workforce or in it are Gen Z born roughly between 1995 and 2009 Then comes Millennials born roughly between 1980’s and 1990’s at 13% with Mental Health Issues Followed by Gen X born roughly between 1965 and 1980 at 11% with Mental Health Issues. The Baby Boomers born between 1946 to 1965 are the least with Mental Health Issues ranging 6%.

An estimated 20 to 40.5 million People in Pakistan suffer from Mental Disorder. Pakistan's current population is estimated to be around 243.9 million Every year a loss of estimated 616.9 billion Pakistani rupees due to mental health issues with.8.8 mental health workers per 100 K population, Pakistan Specific Estimate very low psychiatrist density of 0.19 psychiatrists per 100K population, There's no recent (post-2020) definitive figure for psychologist density in Pakistan. In 2020The federal government allocated 24.21 billion Pakistani rupees for the healthcare sector in the budget for the financial year 2023-24. The Estimated prevalence of mental disorders in UAE is 14.05 % of its population with Mental Health workers. Psychiatrist & Psychologist ranging from 7.25% to 1% respectively for 100K population. The Estimated prevalence of mental disorders in Bahrain is 15.84% of its population with Mental Health workers. Psychiatrist & Psychologist ranging from 38.49% ,2% & 1% respectively for 100K population. The Estimated prevalence of mental disorders in KSA is 14.79% of its population with Mental Health workers. Psychiatrist & Psychologist ranging from 19.33%,1% & 2% respectively for 100K population. The Estimated prevalence of mental disorders in Oman is 14.79% of its population with Mental Health workers. Psychiatrist & Psychologist ranging from 5.52%,2% & 3% respectively for 100K population. The Estimated prevalence of mental disorders in Qatar is 14.98% of its population with Mental Health workers. Psychiatrist & Psychologist ranging from 18.11%,2% & 3% respectively for 100K population. The Estimated prevalence of mental disorders in Kuwait is 15.02% of its population with Mental Health workers. Psychiatrist & Psychologist ranging from 18.11%,2% & 3% respectively for 100K population. Globally the Mental health issue is 13.04% and that in High income class it is 15.38%.
